Diplexers are three-port frequency-dependent devices that may be

used as a separator or a combiner of signals. The device consists of two

fixed tuned bandpass filters sharing a common port. The commonport and

the output of the two filters (RX and TX) form the three terminals of the

diplexer. Duplexers allow atransmitter operating on one frequency and a

THE  DC BLOCKS  ONE  IDEAL  FOR APPLICATIONS  WHERE  A  HIGH  VOLTAGE,  DC  TO

AC  UPTO  20KHz, MUST  BE  REJECTED FROM  THE  RF  SIGNAL   PATH.  LEAKAGE   FROM

MODULATING  SIGNALS  CAN  OCCUR  VIA  AC  POWER  LINES,  THROUGH   GROUND

Power-Tech                     LNA’S

The low-noise amplifier (LNA) is a special type

of electronic amplifier or amplifier used in communication systems to

amplify very weak signals captured by an antenna. It is often located very

close to the antenna, so that losses in the feedline become less critical.

Thisactive antenna arrangement is frequently used in microwave

systems like GPS, because coaxial cable feedline is very lossy at microwave

frequencies.

Using an LNA, the noise of all the subsequent stages is reduced by the

gain of the LNA, while the noise of the LNA itself is injected directly into the

received signal. Thus, it is necessary for an LNA  to boost the desired signal

power while adding as little noise and distortion as possible so that the

retrieval of this signal is possible in the later stages in the system.

COUPLERS  CONSISIT  OF  DIRECTIONAL  AND  BI-DIRECTIONAL

TYPES  WITH  FREQUENCIES  RANGING  FROM  10KHz  TO  2GHz.  A  BI-DIRECTIONAL

COUPLER  ISA 4 PORT DEVICE  THAT  PRODUCES  TWO  UNEQUAL  AMPLITUDE  OUTPUTS

WHEN  A  SIGNAL  IS  FED  THROUGH  THE  INPUT  PORT  AND  CANCELS  THE  SIGNAL

ATTHE  REVERSE  COUPLED  PORT.  A  DIRECTIONAL  COUPLER  HAS  THE  REVERSE

COUPLED  PORT  INTERNALLY  TERMINATED.

WHEN  SPECIFYING  A  MIXER,  THE  SYSTEM DESIGNER  MUST

CONSIDER  KEY  PARAMETERS  NAMELY, FREQUENCYRANGE,  VSWR, COUPLING,

COUPLING  FLATNESS,  INSERTION  LOSS,  COUPLING  LOSS, MAINLINE  LOSS,

DIRECTIVITY,MAXIMUM  POWER  HANDLING CAPABILITY.

Power-Tech          DC  BLOCK

BECAUSE  OF  THE  INHERENT  HIGH  BREAKDOWN  POTENTIAL,

THE  DC BLOCKS  ONE  IDEAL  FOR APPLICATIONS  WHERE  A  HIGH  VOLTAGE,  DC  TO

AC  UPTO  20KHz, MUST  BE  REJECTED FROM  THE  RF  SIGNAL   PATH.  LEAKAGE   FROM

MODULATING  SIGNALS  CAN  OCCUR  VIA  AC  POWER  LINES,  THROUGH   GROUND

LOOPS,  OR  ALONG  POORLY GROUNDED COAXIAL  CABLES.  THESE  LEAKAGES  CAN

IMPAIR  THE  ACCURACY  OF  RF  MEASUREMENTS,  AND  OR  SIGNAL  PURITY.
